Prerequisite:  Phonics Fundamentals I

This 12 hour class focuses on Books 3 and 4 of our Phonics Fundamentals program based on the Orton-Gillingham approach.  Instruction will include the open, silent e, r-controlled, vowel team and consonant le syllable patterns, the spelling and syllable division rules used with these five syllable patterns, affixes, and incorporation of higher level non-phonetic words.   This class is open to 4-6th grade teachers, special education teachers, home-schooling parents, and reading specialists.

Upon completion:

• Participants will be able to develop organized, sequential lesson plans.
• Teachers will be able to implement Orton-Gillingham and Phonics Fundamentals in the classroom and/or small groups.
